• MP3700 Series Large-scale Edge Aggregation Router

  • The MP3700 series large-scale edge aggregation router facilitates large-scale and small-scale WAN aggregation and uplink, apart from providing large-scale Internet access platforms such as MP3740 and MP3780.
     
    The router equips with four/eight MIMs and supports 64-port E1 interface access. Currently, it possesses 600K to 1Mpps packet-forwarding capability.
     
    The router is designed and developed on the lines of complete network investment protection theory allowing network upgrade and extension. The router aggregation capability satisfies client''s large-scale application requirements. The modular design comprises 2GE optical/electric Ethernet interface on main control board facilitating MIM and ultimately saving customer investment.
     
    The MyPower-R software extends network and link protocol, route and backup protocol, network security service, IP multicast protocol, SNA/DLSw function, QoS feature and network management protocol. It supports BGP edge gateway protocol and MPLS function ¨C the PE node in network.
     
    The series router, combined with the whole series router, provides a suite of WAN network solutions for operator, finance, government, energy sources, traffic, education and defense sectors.

    The multi-port 2M interfaces or 155M ATM/CPOS optical interface simplifies network of large or small area data aggregation, and it is much cheap and easy to manage. The strong performance supports high data forwarding and satisfies a variety of synthesis data access requirement.
     
    The MP3700 series router dual power source module redundancy design and service card hot-swap guarantees stable operation of equipment avoiding data stoppage from power source. 
     

    Virtual Routing Switch Network
     
    The MP3700 series router provides Maipu self-developed WAN interface virtual Ethernet edge protocol and realizes multi 2M as virtual bridge with downlink bridge and switch for 155M CPOS aggregation in center or multi E1 aggregation and uplink edge plus switch network.
     
     
    In this typical network, we adopt edge and switches to establish network, which has kept the low cost of establishing the network with switches. But adopting MP3700 series router as core aggregation effectively isolates broadcast storm, prevent worm network virus diffusion, and it is easy to manage with less malfunction.
     
    Also, service isolation may separate hardware physically on timeslot, which is much more secured than traditional logical isolation. It realizes QoS mechanism via hardware mode and it will make it perfect of key service.

    MPLS PE Node Equipment
     
     
    MPLS is an industry standard solution to reduce forwarding mechanism complexity of IP network. Because of the new forwarding mechanism and facing connection character, when the router is forwarding routing packets, there is no need to lookup the address of every data packet, which improves packet-forwarding rate.
     
    The MP3700 series router supports MPLS VPN function, which can be used as PE node equipment. In MPLS VPN network, PE runs MPLS, PE router connects into VPN network via VRF. So CE equipment and C equipment of the same VPN can access to each other and different CE and C equipment of VPN isolate completely to realize more secure VPN.
