• MP7200 Series Access Core Aggregation Router

  • The MP7200 series access core aggregation router facilitates both large-scale and small-scale WAN aggregation and uplink. The router provides large-scale Internet access platform including MP7204 and MP7208 models.

    The two models separately comprise four and eight MIMs, support 64-port E1 interfaces with packet-forwarding capability between 1.5 to 2.2Mpps.
     
    The MP7200 series router design bases on the complete network investment protection theory and provides complete network investment protection. The router allows smooth upgrade and expansion of network.
     
    The router provides robust aggregation capability satisfying the client application requirement. The router adopts modular design, integrates 3GE optical/electric Ethernet interfaces, which utilize MIM saving the client investment.
     
    The MyPower-R software provides network and link protocols, routing and backup protocols, network security service, IP multi-cast protocol, SNA/DLSw function, QoS features and network management protocol. The software supports BGP edge gateway protocol and MPLS, which can be used as PE node and P node.
     
    The MP7200 series router combined with Maipu series routers provides complete WAN solution for operator, finance, government, energy sources, traffic, education and defense sectors.

    The MP7200 series router follows Maipu router high performance design theory. It applies to WAN core aggregation layer.
     
     
    The MP7200 series router provides the downlink edge layer aggregation via 64 2M interfaces or three 155M interfaces.
     

    Large-scale Core Aggregation Platform
     
    The MP7200 series router has powerful aggregation capability. Combined with domestic user network bandwidth high-speed development, the series router provides good capability and performance.
     
     
    The router supports high data forwarding and satisfies kinds of synthesis data access requirement. The router''s dual power source module design and service card hot swap guarantee the equipment''s stable operation.

    Virtual Routing Switch Network
     
    The MP7200 series router provides the independently developed WAN interface virtual Ethernet edge protocol and realizes multi 2M as virtual bridge with Downlink Bridge and switch allowing 155M CPOS aggregation in center or multi E1 aggregation and uplink edge plus switch network.
     
     
    Adopt edge and switches to establish network, which means low cost of establishing network with switches. But adopting MP7200 series router as core aggregation isolates broadcast storm, prevent worm network virus, and it is easy to manage with less malfunction.
     
    Service isolation separates hardware physically on timeslot, which is much more secured than traditional logical isolation. It realizes QoS mechanism via hardware mode.

    Large-scale Internet Access Platform
     
    The MP7200 series router has powerful process capability and advanced structure design and software optimization make data and protocol process independently although configuring amount of NAT conversion and complex software. So it is quite suitable for OA network large-scale Internet access platform.
     
     
    3GE optical/electric Ethernet interfaces of MP7200 separately access to high bandwidth fiber and core switch via Internet to realize large-scale NAT conversion. Meanwhile, MP7200 series router dual power supplier module redundancy design and service card hot swap ensure equipment stable operation to avoid network discontinuous crisis.

    MPLS P or PE Node
     
     
    MPLS is an industry standard solution to reduce forwarding mechanism complexity in IP network. When a router forwards routing packets, it need not lookup the address of every data packet.
     
    The series router supports MPLS VPN function, which uses as PE node equipment. In MPLS VPN network, PE runs MPLS. The PE router connects into VPN network via VRF. So CE equipment and C equipment of the same VPN access each other and different CE and C equipment of VPN isolate completely to provide more secure VPN.
